New Members Welcome — Spring Training Block Starts April 1
Our spring training block kicks off on April 1st and it's the perfect time to join Metro Athletics Club. We offer coached sessions for all events and all levels, from complete beginners to national-level competitors. Our coaching team includes three Athletics Ireland certified coaches. Training takes place at Metro Arena Track on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with Saturday morning sessions for development athletes. First two sessions are free — come try us out.

Five Medals at Leinster Indoor Championships
Metro Athletics Club athletes brought home five medals from the Leinster Indoor Championships at the National Indoor Arena last weekend. Aoife Kelly claimed gold in the women's 60m with a new personal best of 7.42 seconds. Ciara Dunne took gold in the high jump, clearing 1.78m. Liam Connolly added a silver in the 60m hurdles. Conor Byrne and Saoirse O'Brien both earned bronze medals in the 800m and 3000m respectively. Head coach Maria Fitzpatrick said the results show the squad is in excellent shape heading into the outdoor season.

Metro Winter Series Wraps Up with Record Participation
The fourth and final round of our Metro Winter Series saw a record 85 athletes take part, with 12 new personal bests set across the day. Standout performances included Conor Byrne's 1:52.3 in the 800m — a big step forward for the 19-year-old — and Sean Gallagher's impressive 2:19:45 in the 10-mile road race that formed part of the endurance programme. The Winter Series has gone from strength to strength since it was introduced in 2022, and we're already planning an expanded five-round series for next winter.
